Un poquito de barro

Siempre me gustó el off road, no lo suficiente como para hacer un cursillo o comprarme una moto, y aunque nunca lo había probado, era algo que quería hacer

Gracias a la org de la SV, leí de un evento en el que se juntan las principales marcas (Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki y KTM) para ofrecer una muestra de lo que es el off-road.

Las fechas eran un poco críticas ya que era el fin de semana que me iba de vacaciones y las plazas muy limitadas, por suerte pude reservar para el día antes de mi vuelo. Me tuve que pedir un día de vacaciones, tenía que hacer 2 horas y media en moto para llegar allí más las 3 horas del evento.

I always liked the off-road, not enough to do some training or buying a motorbike, and even though I never tried, it was something I wanted to do.

Thanks to the SV org I read about an off-road taste event hosted by the main brands (Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki y KTM)

The dates were a bit tight as it was the weekend I was going on holidays, and the vacancies very limited, luckily I could book for the day before my flight. I had to take a day off, it was a 2 hours and a half riding to get there plus the 3 hours of the event

 Llegué allí sin mucha dificultad guiado por el gps, me tocó en el grupo Kawasaki los cuales nos dieron las protecciones y un pequeño briefing acerca de la posición en la moto. Briefing general para todos y a conducir!!!

Empezamos en un circuito pequeño para tomar contacto con las motos. Al principio estaba asustado por la falta de agarre y es que es muy distinto a lo que estoy acostumbrado en carretera; una vez que te familiarizado con la moto y la superficie fue sensacional, muy divertido y emocionante. Después de unas cuantas vueltas no fuimos al pista de verdad; hicimos 3 tandas de 3-4 vueltas y al salir de la última empezó a llover, hicimos una más antes de parar por la lluvia ya con la pista mojada y si al principio me pareció resbaladizo sobre mojado era muchísimo peor (de agarre, no de diversión)

I got there with no problem guided by the gps, I was in the Kawasaki group which gave us all the gear and a small briefing about positioning on the bike. General briefing for everyone and ready to ride!!!

We started in a small track to get to know the bikes. At the beginning I was scared because the lack of grip because it is really different to what I’m used to on the road; once you get to know the bike and the surface it is great, very funny and exciting. After a few laps we went to the real track; we did 3 sessions of 3-4 laps and at the end of the last one it started to rain, we did one more with the track wet before stopping because of the rain and if at the beginning I thought it was slippery over wet track was much worse (grip, not fun)

 Lo malo, si se puede decir así, es que ahora quiero hacerlo de nuevo.

Es bastante más cansado que entrar en circuito, además era un largo trayecto a casa así que como no tenía prisa hice unas cuantas paradas.

The bad side, if you can say so, is that now I want to do it again.

It is much more tired than road track, also it was a long journey home so as I wasn’t on a hurry I made a few stops.
