De cómo un viaje frustrado puede convertirse en una gran ruta

Planeé ese fin de semana sin trenes o aviones, iba a irme con la moto a visitar Lille y un par de castillos en Bélgica; cuando salí el viernes de trabajar estaba lloviendo y después del último viaje no me apetecía nada montar en moto mientras llovía. El sábado empezó como acabó el viernes pero poco a poco se fue despejando el día y después de comer brillaba el sol así que miré en el móvil el mapa y decidí dónde iba a ir. 

El famoso Palacio de Versalles, miré como legar hasta allí pero fui sin mapa ni gps. No tenía nada más que hacer así que si me perdía no habría ningún problema. La ruta hasta allí no fue la mejor (autovía-ciudad) y una vez paseando por los jardines pensé que estaba oscureciendo y no sería muy buena idea conducir de noche. De vuelta me atreví a visitar algunos sitios emblemáticos de la ciudad, aunque conducir por la ciudad es un poco locura… 


I planned that weekend without trains or planes, I was going to go with the bike to visit Lille and a couple of castles in Belgium; when I left the office on Friday after work it was raining and after the last weekend, I didn’t fancy travelling with the bike while it was raining. Saturday started as Friday ended but step by step the day came clearer and after lunch the sun was shining so I looked a map on the phone and decided where I was going. 

The famous Versailles Palace, I looked how to get there but went without map or gps. I had nothing else to do so if I got lost there wasn’t any problem. The route up there wasn’t the best (highway-city) and once walking in the gardens I thought that it was getting dark and it wasn’t a good idea to ride by night. Going back I dared to visit some emblematic places of the city, although riding in the city is a bit madness.

 
El domingo amaneció completamente despejado, había que aprovechar. Después de mirar la web de www.bestbikingroads.com decidí hacer una pequeña ruta que proponía cerca de Cergy. Esta vez sí que fui con gps, la idea era llegar a un punto para hacer la ruta; así que el camino era lo de menos. Cuando llegué al punto en el que el tramo de carretera debía a empezar a ser divertido busqué un sitio para parar y poner la cámara (que por cierto no tenía batería) me encontré con un muy bonito lugar. 
Después de pasear por allí y hacer unas fotos me fui para casa; la carretera estaba en buenas condiciones y hubo unas cuantas curvas muy interesantes. Una vez en casa investigué dónde había estado: www.axe-majeur.net 

Sunday started completely cloud free, i had to take advantage of that. After looking the site www.bestbikingroads.com I decided to do a small proposed route near Cergy. This time I went with gps, the idea was to arrive where the route started; so the way there wasn’t important. When I arrived where the nice bit of road started I looked for a place to stop and put the camera on (by the way it didn’t have battery) I found a really nice place . 
After walking around and make some photos I went home; the road was good and there were some very interesting corners. Once at home I found out where I had been: www.axe-majeur.net
