De paseo por Francia

Quería ir a Bélgica a comprar unas cervezas a un monasterio, así que me puse manos a la obra a planear ruta y reservar ferries.

No se cómo no lo vi al mirar los horarios, pero después de tener todo me dí cuenta de que justo esa semana la tienda estaba cerrada. Qué hacer? Perder el dinero de cancelarlo no era mucho problema ya que los billetes de ferry fueron baratos, pero tenía mucha ilusión.

Y porque no me voy a dar una vuelta por la costa francesa?

Así lo hice, miré un poco el mapa para orientarme y llegada la hora salí para allá. Sin equipaje, con una bebida energética, una barra de cereal y un plátano salí de casa. Hasta llegar al puerto fue todo autopista, ya tendría tiempo de ir por carreteras comarcales. Desayuno en el ferry y al llegar a Calais, carretera

I wanted to go to Belgium to by some beers from a monastery, so I got to work to plan a route and book the ferry tickets.

I don’t know how I didn’t see it when I looked the time table, but after planning everything I realized that just that week the shop what closed. What should I do? Losing the money wasn’t a big deal as the ferry tickets were quite cheap, but I was quite excited

Why don’t I go for a ride around the French coast?

That was it, I checked a bit a map to get some orientation and when the time came I went there. Without luggage, with an energy drink, a ceral bar and a banana I left home. Breakfast at the ferry and once in Calais, road.

  

La idea era conducir durante 3 horas y dar la vuelta. Al final fueron 2 horas, parar para comer, otras dos horas, otra parada para hacer un poco de turismo y de vuelta tomando un poco de autopista para recuperar el tiempo (todo con paradas pequeñas para fumar y hacer fotos).

Hubo de todo un poco, disfrute algunos tramos, otros me aburrí en caravana, otros disfrute con las vistas, la lluvia amenazó pero se quedó en una amenaza. No creo que repita y de hacerlo buscaría otra zona, pero fue una buena experiencia.

It had a bit of every thing, enjoyed riding some bits, got bored on jams, enjoyed some views, the rain attempted to ruin it but it was just a treat. I don’t think I’ll do it again, and if I do I’d look for another area, but was a good experience

The idea was to ride for 3 hours and turn around. At the end it was 2 hours, stop for lunch, 2 hours more, another stop for a bit of tourism and back taking a bit the highway to get some time back (all with short stops to make photos and smoke)

De vuelta al ferry y desde Dover otra vez para casa, era tarde, estaba oscuro y estaba cansado. Un buen día y algunas cosas apuntadas para la semana siguiente.

Back to the ferry and from Dover all the way home, was late, was dark and I was tired. A good day and some notes for the week after.
