Aprovechando que estuve de vacaciones en la ciudad dónde nací escribí este
post para hacer otro homenaje a otra moto anterior, la primera que tuve y que
aún tengo.
So
I’ve been on holidays in the city where I was born I’ll make another tribute to
a previous motorbike, the first one I bought and I still have it.
Ya he escrito de ella anteriormente, es una CBR 125R; la compré nueva para
ir al trabajo ya que el transporte hasta allí no era muy bueno. Poco después de
tenerla nos cambiamos de oficina, pero para entonces ya era algo imprescindible
en mi vida. A parte de usarla para ir a trabajar también era el medio de
transporte para viajar (y alguna vez para salir de fiesta), ponía la mochila en
el asiento del pasajero y la ataba a los intermitentes; unos amigos vivían en
la ciudad de al lado e iba a verlos a menudo, esto suponía una hora en
carretera a todo lo que daba la moto (que era básicamente en torno al límite de
velocidad de la autopista). Nunca me dio un solo problema (es por esto que la
anterior a la SV fue el mismo modelo).
I’ve
written about it previously, it’s a CBR 125R; i bought it new for commuting
because the public transport wasn’t good. Soon after buy it we moved the
office, but by then it was something --- in my life. Other than using it for
commute it was my transport when I was travelling (and going out at night too
sometimes), used to put the back pack on the pillion passenger and tied it up
to the indicators; some friends lived in the next city and I used to go see
them quite often, this meant one hour on the road as fast as the motorbike
could (which was around the speed limit of the high way). It never gave me any
problem (that’s why the previous one to the SV was also the same model).
Honda sacó un modelo posterior que me gustaba más, así que después de
investigar un poco descubrí que las piezas que cambiaban eran intercambiables.
Me puse manos a la obra para encontrar esas piezas pero después de conseguirlas
y antes de montarlas mi vida cambió drásticamente. Me tenía que mudar
rápidamente y como supuestamente me iba del país sólo por 6 meses, y van casi 6
años, decidí no vender la moto así que la llevé con el resto de mis cosas a
casa de mis padres.
Honda
came up with a new model I liked more, so after a bit of research I find out
that the parts were exchangeable. I got to the task of finding those parts and
after got them and before put them on my life changed drastically. I had to get
moved quickly and it was going out of the country only for 6 months, and it’s
now 5 and a half years, I decided not to sell the bike so I took it with all my
stuff to my parent’s house.
La mantuve el seguro al principio así que cuando iba de vacaciones podía
usarla y le monté las piezas aún sin pintar. Cuando empecé a pensar en comprar
otra CBR siniestrada pensé en aprovechar las piezas que tenía de repuesto y así
ahorrarme dolores de cabeza y dinero. Le desmonté las piezas y las mandé por
correo; no la he vuelto a usar así que estaba en el garaje medio desmontada
